Roosted's New Custom Dashboard: Your Workforce Data, Your Layout

Roosted's homepage used to be the same for every admin. That worked when the platform had a handful of metrics to show, but as the feature set has grown, a one-size-fits-all view stopped making sense. The new custom dashboard fixes that by letting each admin build the exact layout they need.

Drag, Drop, Resize

Click Customize Dashboard in the top right corner and the layout editor opens. From there you can drag widgets into position, rearrange them, and adjust column widths. Some widgets enforce a minimum width so the data stays readable, but beyond that the layout is entirely yours. Changes save per user, so your dashboard stays the way you left it regardless of what other admins do on their end.

The widget library covers the metrics that matter most to companies running flexible workforces:

• Payroll Projections estimate costs across the current or next pay period, calculated from scheduled shift hours multiplied by worker wage rates.

• Fill Rate Trends compare positions needed versus filled over the past seven days, giving you a quick read on whether staffing gaps are improving or getting worse.

• Shift Coverage Heat Map color-codes the next seven days from green (well-staffed) to red (understaffed) with unfilled position counts visible at a glance.

• Worker Star Rating Distribution breaks down shift review ratings from the past 90 days by each star level plus unrated shifts, so you can spot workforce quality trends early.

• Document Signing Completion shows exactly who has finished their paperwork and who hasn't, keeping onboarding status visible without digging through records.

• Expiring Credentials flags upcoming expirations so you can stay ahead of compliance deadlines instead of scrambling last minute.

Additional widgets cover today's shifts, workers currently on duty, pending shift requests, bailout requests, time-off approvals, new client orders, and sign-up bot conversion rates.

Permission-Aware and Scope-Aware

Not every admin needs to see everything. Widgets tied to restricted features (like job management) are automatically hidden for admins who don't have access to those areas. Limited admins only see KPI numbers scoped to the events they manage, not the entire company. This means you can give team leads a dashboard login without worrying about data they shouldn't be seeing.
